Women Group praises efforts to curb the prostitution of minors

The Committee on Singapore UN women has praised the Singapore Government in their efforts to combat to underage prostitution Griffey Shoes . He pointed to the recent submissions of charges in court against 48 men for the receipt of paid sex from an underage girl.
In a statement released today, says of the non profit group, formerly known as UNIFEM Singapore known, by "the commitment of the Government to curb such activities and to protect vulnerable young people from exploitation" is encouraged.
"These laws legally put the load on adults to act responsibly and takes in unwanted actions, especially with minors," said the statement.

So far, 48 men on trial were was raised for paying for sex with an underage prostitute. The defendants are officials, high fliers in the financial industry and other well-known personalities.
